Mind and spirit The concept of body, soul, and spirit has fascinated people for centuries. It speaks to the idea that we are more than just physical beings, and that there is a deeper, more profound aspect to our existence. In this article, we'll explore the differences between these three components of our being, and how they interact to form the foundation of our identity and relationship with God.   According to the Bible, when God created man, He made him in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). This means that we share some of God's attributes, such as intelligence, emotion, will, and creativity. However, it also implies that we have a spiritual dimension, a capacity to communicate with God and worship Him. The Bible tells us that God is Spirit (John 4:24), and that He breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7).
